How to…

dress up the denim shirt for the casual office?

Dressing casual has many facets and it’s almost a form of art to do it right. For me casual means my very personal expression and that’s why I dedicate much effort to it. Jeans fabric cries out “casual” and “off duty” because of its’ rough texture, its’ history of usage and how we all are love wearing jeans in our free time. Make sure to find the right fit and color to make it look good – there is many variations. I find the color is the key element making the shirt work out for you or not. This fall, oversize items are super hot, but for this particular shirt I prefer a more fitted cut to be able styling it office-chic. Therefore I am pairing the shirt with a pleated high waisted skirt and tie a knot with the bottom part of the shirt. You can also wear it inside the skirt for a more formal appearance. In Germany fall will not have you go out with bare legs as it is too cold already. 40 den tights and ballerinas fit well to this outfit and keep you warm. A cute hat and your favorite jewelry round off the look. Overall, I like to stay in a subtle color mix to feel well dressed for the office. How do you wear the denim shirt at the headquarters? Or wouldn’t you at all? Leave a comment below.

Have a great day!
